Instant coffee. Instant success. Lose weight instantly! I bet if any of those phrases flashed before your very eyes on this screen, you'd click on it. You'd want to learn more. Why? We are a world that thrives on getting results quickly. We don't want to wait. With the inventions of modern technology, we don't have to, and sometimes that's a really good thing. You're having a heart attack on the side of the road, you grab your cell phone, and 911 gets to you right away. If you have something like OnStar, help might even get to you faster; but what has that done to our society?

We're impatient for Pete's sake! We muster up all the energy to join a gym, go for a week, and then get frustrated that the scale isn't moving. Sound familiar? Then we quit. We didn't get results fast enough.

The flip side of this can also be true. What would happen if I told you that the very second you ate something from a fast food window, like a big old juicy burger from McDonalds, you'd have a heart attack on the spot. Would you eat it? Probably not. What would happen if you knew that your immediate actions led to an immediate response- good or bad? You'd absolutely be more mindful of them.

We all want to change our appearance for the better. Whether that's losing weight, gaining muscle, having better posture, or less aches and pains. We all want to be successful, whatever that means to us, individually. We all want to live a full, happy, meaningful life. So what's stopping us?

It's not "Will Power" that makes you successful. It's "Won't Power" that makes you unsuccessful. We've become a society that doesn't want to put in the work, day after day, to see results. Clean eating, fitness, drinking water, getting to bed at a decent hour, reducing sugar and alcohol, it's not glamorous. It's not sexy, and sometimes it downright sucks.

It's not "Will Power" that makes you successful. It's "Won't Power" that makes you unsuccessful.

I've had a lot of testimonials flood my inbox lately and the common factor that joins all these women and men with me is TIME. Some have been with me four months, some almost two years! If you want to know more about my program, I will be the first to tell you, it's not sexy! I'm not going to lie and tell you that you are going to lose 20lbs in 20 days. Claims like that make me want to take my 15lb kettle bell from my studio and hit that trainer over their head. Stop giving people false hope. I'm not saying it can't be done. Recently, I did see one person in a Beachbody challenge group that I offer, lose 9lbs in 4 days. I know for a fact that she didn't do anything drastic or crazy, but that's NOT the NORM.

It's all about daily habits. The things you don't even think twice about. What are you putting in your coffee? Where are you parking you car? Are you taking the elevator or the stairs? Did you pack a lunch or are you grabbing something on the go? Are you watching TV at night when you haven't exercised? Are you reading this blog right now or scrolling through Facebook? If you have time to read this blog, you have time to exercise! 

It's all about daily habits. The things you don't even think twice about.

Start to look at your daily actions, your daily habits, and your daily routines. Do any of those need a tune-up? Get rid of that won't power, embrace the un-sexy, and if you need help figuring it all out, call me.
