My team of coaches and I just returned from Brendon Burchard's High Performance Academy in sunny San Diego.
I wasn't 100% positive what a being a "high performer" actually meant, but I knew I wanted to be one.
Who doesn't want to be the best they can very be at the things that mean the most to them?
The definition of High Performance Living as per Brendon and his team is,
"Excelling beyond standard norms consistently over the long term. An ongoing feeling of full engagement, joy, and confidence that comes from consistently living as your best self."
There is ONE WORD that jumps out at me in both of those definitions.
It's not Shakeology or My Quick Fitness Program, although to be honest I'm completely BIASED because they ROCK and they WORK, but the best type of exercise is the one you will CONSISTENTLY DO.
The best clean eating recipe is the one you will, you guessed it, CONSISTENTLY make.
But as Brendon taught us this weekend common sense isn't always common practice.
And there's work and planning involved.
In preparing for our trip, I made sure we stocked up in KIND bars, Shakeology packets, nuts, dates, and when out to dinner, I chose the freshest fish I could get. We were in San Diego after all. The fresh fish was to DIE FOR.
I just finished my 21 Day Fix Extreme Program and it was the perfect time to revisit PiYo. The low impact, barefoot, no equipment full body program that I could sneak in at our hotel room in the morning. Not to mention, we got in our daily walks and run by the beach.
I still worked out and ate clean on vacation every day, and the craziest part, I ENJOYED IT!
CONSISTENCY is what will save you.
DISCIPLINE and CONSISTENCY will get you the results you want.
Don't focus on the outcome.
Focus on showing up, every darn day, and EARNING whatever it is you want.
You can do it. I know you can.
