Accelerate Your Cardio, Accelerate Your Fat Burn!

Quick, effective, fun workouts have always been my jam!

As a busy mom, wife, nurse, trainer, online coach, and entreprenHER (aka Boss Lady kicking butt) my time is precious.

But even if you aren't any of those things I am, you are still somebody to someone.

You still have THINGS TO DO!

Am I right?

I recently learned about this new thing called "Accelerated Cardio."

It might not be new, but its new to me and it's been a GAME CHANGER in my fat burn and the inches overall that I've lost.

Since adding this in, my body is HAPPY!

According to Jim Stoppani, PH.D, cardio accelerated is defined as,

"Cardio acceleration is a technique that combines high-intensity cardio and resistance training into one fast-paced workout. Instead of resting between your lifts, you will do cardio between every single set. Simply put, you'll lift one set of a prescribed exercise, such as bench press, and then immediately follow it with one minute of cardio. Cardio effectively replaces your rest periods."


No rest. But I have to admit, it's pretty fun.

Take it from me, who used to have to do one hour on the stepper.. THAT was torture.

Now my workouts are about 45 minutes TOTAL.

And I get a killer fat burn, pump, and cardio burn.

It looks something like this:

1) 12 reps of dumbbell overhead press

2) 30 seconds of mountain climbers (my coach was kind evidently with 30 second and not a minute!)

3) Repeat overhead press

4) Repeat 30 seconds of mountain climbers or if you're like me, you can switch it up and do fast feet, high knees, or jumping jacks.

5) Repeat overhead press

6) Repeat 30 seconds of cardio.

7) (Move onto next strength move) 15 reps of dumbbell bicep curls

8) 30 Seconds of mountain climbers...
